Post Reach and Post Engagement are both crucial to build a well rounding Social Media presence on Facebook. Post Reach keeps track of the unique number of people who saw your content post. If someone returns multiple times, they would only count as one. Post Engagement is the number of people being active in your post. The engagement would count the comments, likes, clicking into a link and even when sharing content.
It is important to start your fan base with Reach. When you are trying to gain followers and likes to your page it is key to post articles, pictures or exciting interacting questions that will be seen. When someone likes what they see, they are more likely to have it pop up in their news feed. Once you capture that follower, you can start to work on engagement. Post Engagement actions will help build your relationships with your customers. This also builds loyalty with your company brand, in turn creates more views!
You and your business page can use the information gathered from Facebook insights to focus in on what is working. Creating content that engages, will also having them wanting to see more! Including images and being in line with your brand is a great way to be memorable. Contests have popped up to get people involved and create comments. Most contests require friends and friends of friends to like a page to join in on the contest. Creating this content and keeping your customer in mind will build your loyalty base.
A business can create a group to bring like guests together. As a concierge association I might create a group of guests who like to partake in hiking activities in San Diego. This would bring knowledge, as well as similar people together. When people join and like what the discussion brings they are more likely to return to the page, follow the business that started the group and remember to contact their hotel concierge when they travel.
